Divisions

The Association exists to assist the local churches to equip their members for mission to and in the World. For that purpose the Association is organized into Divisions and Committees to provide both written and human resources. Refer to each division webpage to find out who is currently serving on the divisions.
Division on Church and Ministry oversees ministerial standing, pastoral relations, professional standards, in-care students, the relationship of pastors to parishes and specialized ministry. One of its functions is to authorize pastoral ministry for the Association, as well as authorized lay pastors.
Division on Lay Life and Leadership seeks to strengthen the whole ministry of the Church by supporting people in attending church-related events and promoting a partnership of laity and clergy for the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ.
Division on Christian Education fosters education for teachers, children, youth and adults and is responsible for providing training of youth ministry leaders, promoting inter-church fellowship among the Association’s youth and providing opportunities for growth and involvement of youth in the life and work of the Church.
Social Concerns Committee provides information on social issues and cooperates with congregations who are acting on the implications of the Gospel for society.
